HealthTrans was founded to utilize Internet-based technologies to process healthcare claims and encounter transactions, beginning with pharmacy claims, then adding medial and other benefits categories. HealthTrans is a joint venture formed by NDCHealth and HealthTrans Data Services. HealthTrans offers a cost-effective alternative to the burden of acquiring, converting, operating and maintaining an in-house technology system to help clients lower their costs and manage their risk pools better. HealthTrans offers its Apothesys Suite of pharmacy benefit administration services for pharmacy claims processing, pharmacy network administration, clinical services, financial reporting, pharmacy and member help desk, billing and payments as well as manufacturer rebate processing and reporting, and custom support.
