Longs Drug Stores Corporation (Longs) is one of the most recognized retail drug store chains on the West Coast and in Hawaii. Through its 473 stores located in California, Hawaii, Washington, Nevada, Colorado and Oregon, Longs serves the needs of consumers through retail drug stores that have a long history of serving the health and well-being needs of customers through customer-oriented pharmacy services and convenient product offerings that include: over-the-counter medications, health and beauty products, cosmetics, photo and photo processing, food and beverage items and greeting cards. Longs operates in two business segments, retail drug stores and, through its RxAmerica subsidiary, pharmacy benefit management, or PBM. Longs PBM segment provides a range of services, including plan design and implementation, claims administration and formulary management to third-party health plans and other organizations. RxAmerica will offer a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan in at least 35 states. RxAmerica manages prescription benefit plans covering approximately 5.2 million lives with a network of pharmacies in all 50 states as well as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
