RxHub LLC (RxHub) is a company that electronically routes up-to-date patient medication history and pharmacy benefit information to physicians in their offices and at hospitals in order to improve patient safety. Transactions occur between pharmacy benefit managers and physicians using a physician's choice of point-of-care technology. Patient information is transmitted securely and subject to strict privacy controls consistent with the requirements of HIPAA and applicable federal and state laws. Through RxHub's proprietary network exchange, physicians are able to reference medication history prior to writing prescriptions, thereby minimizing patients' risk of adverse drug events.
